Team EnVyUs push over HellRaisers, securing the last European slot for the LAN Finals of the StarLadder i-League Season 2.
The Frenchmen take away the best-of-three series in a two map sweep against the European mix of HellRaisers. The two maps were de_Dust2 and de_Nuke, where EnVyUs managed to pull off 16:14 and 16:8 respectively. To remind you, the StarLadder i-League Season 2 is a $300,000 prize pool event, taking place in Kyiv, Ukraine. Sixteen teams will face each other in attempt to secure part of the loot, as well as bragging rights.
De_Dust2
The initial half saw a strong performance from the French side, whereby the team forced their game onto the opponent. HellRaisers seemed out of place each round, allowing EnVyUs an extensive lead going into the second half. A disappointing first half from the European mix meant a 13:2 lead for Happy and co.
Tables turned during the second half, where it became apparent that EnVyUs have a very shaky T-side on Dust2. It was essentially a mirror of the first half, only this time HellRaisers were in the driver's seat. Round by round went by with EnVyUs nearly throwing away the possibility of a win, only to secure the crucial final round in their favour, closing out at a tight 16:14.
De_Nuke
An eccentric choice of map, however effective for Team EnVyUs. It all started fairly level with both teams sustaining equal round scores. This lead to a grindy first half which halted at a slight bias towards the Frenchmen, 8:7.
After switching onto the CT side EnVyUs kicked into gear and started landing those crucial rounds, one after another. The only word that would describe it would be domination, as the Frenchmen do not let a single round slip in favour of their opponents, taking away the series at a commanding 16:8 score.
