The CIS squad announced that they will not participate in their second ECS event of the year.

Earlier this year, Navi withdrew from $3.5 Million ECS Season 1 due to an “an overly busy schedule and tiredness” and now they have announced that they will not qualify in the league that would potentially qualify for ECS Season 2 due to a “busy schedule and significant load”.

Ukraine Eugene "HarisPilton" Zolotarev, eSport director of Navi, had this to say about the CS:GO team’s withdrawal:

Unfortunately, due to the busy schedule and significant load on our CS:GO team Natus Vincere have to decline the participation in ECS Season 2. Nevertheless, our squad will participate in many other tournaments in autumn. You'll see much beautiful play by our guys. We express our gratitude to the organizers of ECS for the invitation and wish them luck in holding the second season.

Because of Navi’s withdrawal, the 1st place finisher of the European Developmental League will immediately qualify for ECS Season 2, while the second place finisher will play team Dignitas for a spot in next season’s league. In the North American League, the first and second place finishers will play Team Kaliber and EchoFox, respectively.
