$200K IGL announced

The International Games League will be putting up almost $200,000 in prizes for their new Chinese CS:GO league.

With the Asian CS:GO scene now on the rise, tournament organizers are rushing to cater to the region, with a slew of new events popping up seemingly every week. Now a new organization has sprung up, the International Games League, which has announced that they will be putting up a $200,000 combined prize pool for their first two inaugural seasons.

The league will start with a number of qualifiers, to determine which teams will fill out the group stage's sixteen available slots. Only half of the teams will make it to the playoffs, which will whittle the field down to a final four that will attend the offline finals at the end of the season. The top two placing teams from this will also get spots at an annual LAN event, which will bring together the teams from both seasons to fight for an overall title.

Prize distribution:

1st: $31,000
2nd: $8,000
3rd-4th: $1,500
