Cloud9 drops fREAKAZOiD

Ryan "fREAKAZOiD" Abadir will no longer be playing for Cloud9 as a part of their starting line-up.

Almost exactly one year ago, Cloud9 brought in two new players into their CS:GO roster: star AWPer Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, and a relatively low profile player in the North American scene, Ryan "fREAKAZOiD" Abadir. The organization has now revealed that they will be saying goodbye to Abadir, after a long stretch of poor results from the line-up since the summer of last year. However, since he is still under contract until 2017, Cloud9 will be keeping him in the wings while they search for a replacement. In the meantime, Eric "adreN" Hoag will be taking his place. Team coach Tres Saranthus issued the following statement on the roster change:

We'd like to announce the following change to our Cloud9 Counter-Strike division: Ryan "fREAKAZOiD" Abadir has departed from the CS:GO starting roster. Abadir's tenure with the team consisted of many memorable performances, as he was an integral asset to the team's success across the summer of 2015. Since joining the roster in the spring of 2015, Abadir has had an impact on the CS:GO scene and each of his Cloud9 teammates.

Ryan “fREAKAZOiD” Abadir will remain under contract with Cloud9 for the remainder of 2016 and leading into 2017. You will continue to find his stream on the Cloud9 Twitch Team page, and teams interested in contacting Cloud9 about fREAKAZOiD may direct their requests to CS:GO team manager Tres "stunna" Saranthus at [email protected].

Cloud9 are now left with the following roster:

United States Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
United States Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham
United States Mike "shroud" Grzesiek
United States Jake "Stewie2k" Yip
United States Eric "adreN" Hoag (temporary)
