PGL and KeSPA to run CS:GO Asian Minor

PGL and KeSPA have just announced their partnership in hosting the Asian CS:GO Minor Championship.

PGL and KeSPA are setting new boundaries for the Asian CS:GO competitive scene. They have partnered to host the next Asian CS:GO Minor Championship on May 5-8 at the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul, South Korea. The event will boast a $50,000 prize pool, the biggest sum ever seen for CS:GO in South Korea.

A total of eight teams will be seen playing in Seoul, for two slots, which will lead to the offline qualifier for the next major, ESL One Cologne. The Mongolz and Renegades have been announced as the two directly invited teams while the other six slots will be filled through the qualifiers.

 

  • Korean Qualifier - 2 teams;
  • China Qualifier - 2 teams;
  • Asian Qualifier - 2 teams.
     

Prize distribution:
1st place - $30,000 + ESL One: Cologne 2016 main qualifier invite
2nd place - $15,000 + ESL One: Cologne 2016 main qualifier invite
3rd place - $5,000
