Global eSports Cup groups announced

The groups for the upcoming offline final of the Global eSports Cup, taking place between February 4-7th, have been announced.

The offline finals of the Global eSports Cup is set to begin this coming Thursday, February 4, in Vilnius, Lithuania. Eight teams have qualified for the event, following online qualifiers in the North American, European, and CIS regions, and they will compete for a share of the $200,000 prize pool. The winner will take home $80,000 of the prize pool on offer.

The group stage will be played out in the GSL, single-elimination format and the top team of each group will advance directly to the semifinals. The teams that place second and third in their groups will face each other in a quarterfinal match to determine who advances to the semifinal.
