Luminosity Gaming has reached the grand finals of FACEIT S3 by defeating Team Solomid in convincing fashion.

The match between Team SoloMid and Luminosity Gaming was an easy one to guess, at least as the analysts were concerned. All of them predicted TSM to take this one home easily. Only Anders Blume had doubts about an easy win for the Danes. Luminosity picked de_mirage as a starter, a map where TSM is known to be very good on. TSM then chose de_overpass as the second map, on which they are even more known for devastating results. The decider map was de_inferno.
Starting off on de_mirage, the Danes on the CT-side literally steamrolled the Brazilians. Until the 12th round TSM didn't allow Luminosity one single round. But having them given one round was enough for this half as far as TSM was concerned. They closed the half out with a final score of 14-1. Although the score line suggests that Luminosity had no saying in this, many of those 15 rounds came down to insane individual play from both Finn "karrigan" Andersen with his AWP and Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth stepping up his game as well and securing many key frags throughout the first map.
The second half started with a successful Brazilian pistol round, followed by a Danish catch-up. Luminosity, being on the edge of losing this at 15-2 managed to secure the next 3 consecutive rounds, just to see TSM closing it out in the following and securing de_mirage with a final score of 16-5.
The second map, de_overpass started in a simliar fashion. TSM took the first five rounds with ease. However, what happend next was more than unexpected. Luminosity somehow managed to completely dismantle TSM on their home soil, only allowing them 1 more round, closing this map 16-6. This basically came down to Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo hitting insane AWP shots, best represented by his glorious AWP 4K in round 12. TSM, devastated after loosing the first couple of rounds, couldn't manage to get back into the game, being completely unable to do anything impactful on either the CT- or the T-side.
The decider map in the bucket, de_inferno was one stressful map to watch. LG picked up the first three rounds on their T-side. After that, it was pretty much a back and forth match, until TSM picked up their fourth round. After that however, Luminosity just rushed through, only allowing TSM 2 more rounds, closing the half 9-6 in their favor. In the second half one could witness one of the most intense Counter-Strike battles seen yet. Back and forth fighting for every round. Luminosity was close to make the impossible possible at a 15-13 score line in their favor. However, TSM managed to win the two remaining rounds, going into MR10 overtime.
In the end, Luminosity indeed had what it took to beat the Danes. The final score line of 21-17 in their favor surprised everyone.
