In the first match of FACEIT Stage 3 finals we saw Virtus.pro scoring their first victory, by taking down Legacy 16-12.

The first match of FACEIT Stage 3 finals brought us a battle between Virtus.pro and a new team to the international scene, Legacy. It was quite obvious simply by checking names that Virtus.pro came to this match as a big favourite, compared to the Australian team, who had their first venture outside Australia.
Following the map veto, de_cobblestone was picked as the map to be played on. Cobble is known as a map which is open for big upsets, but also as a strong map of Virtus.pro. Despit this, Legacy had a really good start, winning five entry rounds for a quick 5-0 on their T side. In the second buy round for Virtus.pro, the Poles managed to finally establish their defense and get themselves on the board. From this moment on VP were controling the match, as we quickly saw a score transition of 7-5 a lead for the Poles. Still, Legacy managed to get one more round before the half time mark.
The second half time brought even better play by Virtus.pro. They just smashed Legacy in the pistol round, without losing a single man. This was followed by five more rounds for 15-6 scoreline. When it looked like Legacy had shown everything they could, the Australian team woke up and bounced back with six consecutive rounds. In the end, when it was looking like they were close to scoring another round, in a 2 vs. 4 situation and with Tec-9s only, Virtus.Pro's experience overcome the young Australian team and the Poles scored the final round, finalising at 16-12.
