The grandfinals series between Natus Vincere and Team SoloMid kicked off on de_dust2, a map that both teams have historically had great results on. TSM took the first pistol on their CT side, which netted them the two ensuing rounds as well; Na'Vi responded with a win on their first gun round, but were shutdown soon after, bringing the score to 4:1 for the Danes. Their opponents didn't let their broken economy stop them though, as they forced into the next and won which swung the momentum in their favor for the rest of the half, ending it 8:7.

The T side, however, was a diaster: the Danish squad couldn't seem to find any openings in the Na'Vi defense, and their struggle was only further exacerbated by the brutal efficiency with which GuardiaN picked off their players one by one on executes and trades. Taking only a single round, the map closed out 16:9 in Natus Vincere's favor

If there was a fire still left in Team SoloMid, it was brutally extinguished early on de_cobble. At first, it looked like it could be competitive after Na'Vi claimed their first three rounds on the CT side, but as the rounds climbed for the Ukranian side with no response from TSM, it became clear the half was going to be a landslide, ending with rare 14:1 scoreline for Na'Vi.

The Danes didn't give the map up easily on their own CT half though, which started with a narrow pistol win, courtesy of Nicolai "device" Reedtz who managed to clutch out the round one versus two with just a pair of dualies. Things could only could get better for them from there, as they managed to grab the next three rounds straight. There was a momentary scare where Na'Vi somehow managed to win an eco against full rifles, but TSM didn't lose hope and brought it back the next round, eventually moving to a 8:15 score line. The comeback stopped finally as the Ukrainians finally managed to close it out 16:8 and ending the series 2-0
