TWC is ready to kick-off

The World Championship 2015 is set to start in two days in Belgrade with sixteen national teams fighting for the lion's share of $100,000.

The initial season of The World Championship is all set to start in less than two days in Belgrade, Serbia. The sixteen teams who have earned their spots on various ways for the LAN finals will clash in the Sava Center over the course of four days to decide who will take the title of the first ever World Championship.

The format consists of a  double elimination group stages, with the initial matches being played as best of one, while the deciding matches will use best of three series format. The top two teams of each group will then advance to the eight team single elimination bracket, where they will be playing in a best-of-three format, with the exception of grand finals which will see a best of five show.

Due to visa issues, the national team of China had to withdraw from the event and they will be replaced by national team of Portugal. Portugal had lost in the deciding qualification match against Norway and therefore has received a wild card invitation.
