The groups of the European qualifier for the World Championship in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive have been drawn.
Yesterday the two qualifying rounds for the European qualifier finished with twelve of the initially eighteen teams proceeding into the group stages where they were split into six groups with twelve already seeded teams.
Each group consists of three seeded and three qualified teams to spread it as equally as possible. Fighting their way through both qualifying rounds, Portugal, Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Latvia, Norway, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Turkey and Hungary joined forces with Sweden, France, Poland, Russia, Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia and Denmark which were seeded beforehand due to the achievements they've accomplished in ESEC 2013 and 2014.

The final schedule is yet to be released, although a few facts are known already: The 24 participant will be cut into 16 by randomly drawn out Bo1 (best-of-one) elimination matches amongst the groups with only the top four of each group advancing into the next stage. The last stage consists of round-of-16 matches whose eight winners will qualify for the World Championships and a chance on the $100.000 prize pool.
