DH announced more details on EU qualifiers for Cluj

DreamHack have announced more details on the European part of the qualifiers for the next major which is being held on October 28th - November 1st in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Two days ago DreamHack announced that the third and final major of 2015 will be moved to Romania. Instead of holding it during DreamHack Winter, DreamHack decided to shift it over to Romanian grounds and hold it during DreamHack Cluj-Napoca. Today, they revealed more information on how the qualification process will work for the European region.

As always, there will be an offline qualifier which will sum up all the other pre-qualifiers from the all regions. This offline qualifier will be held on September 22nd - 26th during DreamHack Stockholm. The venue is set at two different locations, Monster Energy DreamHack Studios and the Annexet Stockholm Globe Arena.

The offline qualifier will feature a total of 16 teams fighting for the eight spots at the next major at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca. Eight out of these 16 teams are already known, as those are 9th-16th finishers from ESL One Cologne. They will be joined by eight more teams from the open pre-qualifiers. The European region will be represented by five teams, North America will send two of theirs and the Asian region will have one representative amongst these eight teams.

The European pre-qualifiers will be split into two parts. The first pre-qualifier will take place from September 5th-6th and will send two teams to closed qualifier, while the second one is scheduled from September 12th-13th and will award 3 spots for Stockholm. Both pre-qualifiers will feature the same format. There will be an open bracket, followed by a closed stage. Eight teams will be directly invited for a closed stage, while eight more teams will join them from the open part of the bracket.

European pre-qualifiers schedule:
September 5th 14:00 - Open Stage I - 512 teams
September 6th 12:00 - Closed Stage I - 8 teams from open stage + 8 invited teams
September 12th 14:00 - Open Stage II - 512 teams
September 13th 12:00 - Closed Stage II - 8 teams from open stage + 8 pre-qual. #1 teams
