The British super-team of EZSkins has taken down their opponents to win the first tournament under the new organisation.
The previous edition of Insomnia Gaming Festival featured the Spanish team of x6tence who managed to win the tournament, that usualy features only home teams. This time we saw mostly teams from the UK compete at the Insomnia 55. The title was re-claimed by the Brits as EZSkins beat Choke Gaming in the grand final.
EZSkins had an automatic 1:0 lead due to coming from the upper bracket. The first map was taken quite comfortably by EZSkins as they had a solid 14:1 half-time score as CTs on de_inferno. Despite Choke mounting a little bit of a comeback EZSkins never were in any danger of loosing this map and closed it out 16:8.
The second map saw Choke Gaming finally get into the match, however it was too little to late. They were able to take a considerate amount of rounds on their T-side de_overpass but then faltered on the CT allowing EZSkins to take the map 16:11 for a 3:0 grand final victory.
