ESL has announced two new invitees to another one of their $250 000 tournaments, set to take place in Dubai.
ESL announced the ESL Dubai tournament earlier this month. The tournament is set to take place on September 10th-12th as a part of GAMES 15. Five European teams and the North American Cloud9 were set to duke it out for a slice of the $250,000 prize pool.
The participants for this event were selected based on the new ranking released by Electronic Sports League earlier this month. The list of invitees has now been expanded to eight, which lead to TSM being unhappy about not receving an invite as well as the community being vocal about it.
At the time, the vice-president of ESL Pro Gaming, Ulrich Schulze has hinted at expanding the number of slots to eight. It has now been confirmed and the teams receving the invites will be TSM, who currently sit at 5th place in ESL's ranking, and Titan, who are the 8th ranked team.
The list of participants now looks as follows:
fnatic
Natus Vincere
Virtus.pro
EnVyUs
Team SoloMid
Ninjas in Pyjamas
Cloud9
Titan
