Mousesports backup Nikola "NiKo" Kova? will stand in for Michael "Friis" Jørgensen at IEM Gamescom.
Casper "cadiaN" Møller has revealed that Bosnian all-star player Nikola "NiKo" Kova? will stand in for SK Gaming's Michael "Friis" Jørgensen at the upcoming IEM Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany.
This is the second time in two months that NiKo has stood in for a team at an offline event. His first stand-in role being for Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson on Team Kinguin at the recent Gaming Paradise offline qualifier, where they found success in defeating Flipsid3 Tactics in a best-of-five in three clean maps. However, despite his performance at Gaming Paradise, Kinguin decided against recruiting the player permanently following mousesports' asking prize for the player.
This will be SK Gaming's second temporary player attending the event, the first being free agent Casper "cadiaN" Møller, who in the past played for top teams such as Copenhagen Wolves and mousesports. SK Gaming, with cadiaN on trial, is hoping to improve their results from last weekend's Acer Predator Masters finals, where they finished 5th-6th place.
