C9, CLG qualify for ESL One Cologne 2015.

Cloud9 and Counter Logic Gaming will be the last two teams to round off the attendees for ESL One Cologne 2015.

This weekend saw the two day ESL One Cologne NA qualifiers hosted in Burbank, California. The eight top teams from NA battled for a spot in the upcoming major in Cologne, Germany, which will boast a $250,000 prize pool. The semifinals came down to Cloud9, eLevate, Counter Logic Gaming, and Team Liquid, who were able to overcome all the other teams including ex-Luminosity Gaming and ex-Nihilum, among other teams.

Cloud9 earned their spot in the upcoming major by defeating eLevate 2-0 with relative ease. The first map was de_inferno, historically one of Cloud9's weakest maps. Despite losing both pistol rounds, Cloud9 was able to win nearly every gun round and take the map 16-7. The second map was de_cache, historically one of Cloud9's best maps. Cloud9 were able to overcome eLevate 16-5.

Counter Logic Gaming also got their spot after beating Team Liquid 2-0. The first map, de_cache, ended 16-9 thanks to great individual performances and plays. The second map, de_mirage, ended 16-14. Liquid were nearly able to come back from a 15-9 deficit, however, CLG were able to finish off the game, ruining adreN and his squad's dreams of playing in Cologne.
