CEVO announced season 8 with $150,000

CEVO has announced the eighth season of their CS:GO league featuring $150,000 prize pool.

Only one day after the conclusion of the seventh season, where Virtus.pro topped the LAN finals defeating Natus Vincere 3-1 in the grand finals, CEVO is ready to announce the next season with slightly increased prize pool.

The new season will feature once again a four divisions: Professional, Main, Intermediate and Amateur. As usual, the top teams of the lower divisions will be able to progress to the upper ones. Moreover, the eighth season will feature a bit changed format where the each map win will award one point in a best-of-two duels.

The full participants list is not known yet as the Placement tournament is still ongoing. However, it is known that the teams will be able to fight for the lion’s share of $100,000, where the extra $50,000 are reserved for the travel support of the teams who will attend the LAN finals. The finals will be held once again at MLG.tv Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Schedule:
- Registration + Preseason (July 23rd, 2015 - August 22nd, 2015)
- Professional Placement Tournament (July 20th, 2015 - August 11th, 2015)
- Online Regular Season (August 16th, 2015 – October 8th, 2015)
- Online Playoffs (October 11th - TBA)
- LAN Finals at MLG.tv Arena in Columbus, Ohio (November 6-8, 2015)
