ESL introduces anti-doping policy

In light of the recent events that saw ex-Cloud9 player Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen admit to using Adderal, ESL introduces anti-doping policy.

Adderal and it's use has become the hot topic these days as the ex-Cloud9 member, currently playing for Nihilum and coaching CLG Red, Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen has admited to using adderal during ESL One Katowice 2015. The information was leaked during the post event interview with SEMPHIS himself.

The Electronic Sports League took measures right after the information got to them. They have released a statement earlier this week, regarding the situation. They stated that a drug procedure is on the way, set to police the drugs, educate and prevent their use. ESL has now announced that they partnered with the Nationale Anti Doping Agentur (NADA) "to create an anti-PED policy that is fair, feasible and conclusive while also respecting the privacy of players".

ESL also released a following statement after assuring that they also want this policy to expand to regions all over the globe:

The expertise of NADA and WADA will help ESL to produce a PED prevention program that will encompass all players participating in competitions organized, hosted or produced by ESL. This program will help ensure that all players are provided with the information and structural support they need to help them manage the physical and emotional pressure of professional gaming.
