Following the Kick-off season, PGL has just announced the Season 1 of their CS:GO league featuring $110,000 and also expanding to North America.
After a very successful debut with their Kick-off Season, PGL has just announced the Season 1 of their CS:GO league. The prize pool remained the same and will feature a whooping $110,000. One novelty is that the league will expand to North America.
The Season 1 of PGL CS:GO league will feature a total of twelve teams, where eight will come from the European soil, while the North America will have just four represents. The tournament organizers will send the direct invites to six European and three North American teams, while the remaining slots will be obtainable through the qualifiers.
The format is set to group stage, Last Chance Tournament and LAN finals. The group stage will see teams being divided inside three different groups, two European and one North American. The first placed teams from each group will then secure a spot at the LAN finals, while the remaining teams from the European groups will have a second shot at the Last Chance Tournament. This means that North America will surely have one represent at the LAN finals.
The six European teams have already accepted the invitations:

The season will kick-off on August 6th, when the North American qualifier is scheduled to commence on. However, the Championship Series will start on August 26th, while the LAN finals will take place on October 2nd-4th in Bucharest.
Prize pools destribution:
Group Phase - 21,000 USD
Last Chance Tournament - 4,000 USD
Grand Finals - 75,000 USD
