EnVyUs has secured first place at Gfinity Summer Masters in a dominant 3-0 victory in the BO5 grandfinals match.
The grandfinals opened with the two teams facing off on de_dust2. EnVyUs opened up firing on all cylinders, taking a clean pistol round and the next three; NiP returned on the fifth, but even though the Swedish side's economy was quickly after, a force buy helped them to get back into the map. NiP finally managed to stablize their money and string rounds in sucession, leaving them with a 6:9 scoreline. EnVyUs began to falter on their T half, getting decimated in the pistol and losing the second round, but quickly returned to form with one of their signature pistol buys, breaking NiP and regaining control of the momentum; although NiP fought back in the final rounds of the map, the frenchman comfortably closed out the map 16:10.
NiP looked to have strong start on T side inferno, but too many close rounds end their lead prematurely, allowing EnVyUs to climb to a 6:2 scoreline. The half quickly spiraled out the Xizt-led squads control, leaving them with unfavorable 4:11 half. The situation turned even more favorable for EnVy as they took the second pistol round. NiP was unable to take another round off their opponents, and the map ended with a dominating 16:4 scoreline.
The third map in the series was de_cache, where once again EnVyUs showed why they're a step above the Ninjas in Pyjamas. Starting on the T half, the the French team handily took the first pistol and the two following rounds. NiP returned with two gun rounds, but EnVy's unrelenting buys forced NiP back onto ecos, bringing the score to 6:2 for EnVy. The Swedes recovered near the end of the half, bringing the rounds to repectable 7:8. EnVyUs again, like on de_inferno, didn't give NiP anything to hang onto in the second half; the french side took the pistol, only only gave them two rounds before closing out the match 16:9.
