Asian Qualifiers for Cologne revealed

ESL has released details on the Asian Qualifiers for the upcoming CS:GO Major Championship - ESL One Cologne 2015.

ESL One Cologne, which will be the next CS:GO Major Championship, will have three separate offline qualifiers. The event will be held in Cologne, Germany, on August 20th to 23rd.

The Asian LAN qualifier will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the eCurve shopping centre. It will be held for two days on July 18th to 19th. The event will be public and the viewers will be able to watch the best teams in the region duke it out for the two spots that will be rewarded to the two best teams in this offline qualifier.

Oceania region will have two teams participating in the Asian qualifier while the rest, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, India and Malaysia will recieve only one slot for the offline qualifier. Also one team will be able to gain their spot in the LAN qualifier through the application process. Detail about the qualifiers for the offline qualifier is as follows:

Oceania:
For the Oceanic qualifier, eight teams will face each other in a tournament hosted by the ESL's partner ACL in Sydney, Australia, on June 27th and 28th

The eight teams qualified for this event are:

China:
One slot for the Asian Offline Qualifier
June 20th to July 1st

The Chinese qualifier has two separate stages:

Stage one will be a completely open qualifier in which teams can participate for one of four spots in the second stage. Stage one will be single elimination best of one.

Stage two will include a total of eight teams - four invited teams and four teams from stage one - who will fight it out for a spot in the Asian offline qualifier. Stage two will be single elimination best of three, with the four invited teams for the second stage of the Chinese qualifier which are:

East Asia:
One slot for the Asian offline qualifier
June 22nd to July 4th

The East Asian qualifier will feature country based open qualifiers resulting in a finals between the countries to decide who gets to represent East Asia in the Asian offline qualifiers. The finals will take place on July 4th and will use a single elimination best of three format.

Japan - June 27th to 28th - Double elimination best of one

Hong Kong - June 22nd to July 3rd - Single elimination best of three

Korea - June 27th to 28th - Single elimination best of one (best of three semifinals and final) 

Taiwan - June 27th to 28th - Single elimination best of one (best of three semifinals and final)

Southeast Asia:
One slot for the Asian offline qualifier
July 3rd to 5th

The Southeast Asian qualifier will see multiple countries fight it out in a single elimination bracket (best of one with best of three semifinals and finals) to decide who will represent Southeast Asia in the Asian offline qualifiers. The countries included in the Southeast Asian qualifier are Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

India:
One slot for the Asian offline qualifier
June 19th to 21st

The Indian qualifier will be open to all teams willing to participate. The teams will face off in a single elimination best of three bracket to determine who will represent India in the Asian offline qualifiers. Participants in the Indian qualifiers need to be in possession of a valid passport.

Malaysia:
One slot for the Asian offline qualifier
June 20th to 21st

The Malaysian qualifier will be open to all teams willing to participate. The teams will face off in a single elimination best of one bracket with best of three semifinals and finals to determine who will represent Malaysia in the Asian offline qualifiers.

The Application Process:
One slot for the Asian offline qualifier

One slot will be open as application slot and teams from Asia without a qualifier will be able to apply. Team need to be able to travel to offline event. The application needs to be sent in before June 23rd 12:00 CEST. The chosen team will be announced a few days after the closing of the applications.
