The second edition of the Alienware Area51 Cup has been announced with $10,000 on the stake for the four European participants.
A two months ago we could witness the first edition of Alienware Area51 Cup being held for the North American region which was won by eLevate. The top eight teams from NA soil battled it out for the grand prize of $7,000, while the $3,000 was given to the runner-up. This time the prize pool has remain the same, but the continent got changed and the show has been moved to the Europe.
The number of teams got reduced to four instead of original eight, which is justified by organizer's intention to keep this cup short and quick. Team Solomid, Virtus.pro, Mousesports and Team Kinguin will be gathered into the single-elimination bracket. All the matches will be played in a best-of-three format and there will be no third place decider. The winner will take $7,000 while the runner-up will have to satisfy with the like of $3,000.

16.00 CET - Team Solomid vs Mousesports - Bo3
18.00 CET - Virtus.pro vs Team Kinguin - Bo3
20.00 CET - Grand Finals
In the opening match Team Solomid will take on Mousesports. The Danish team has been performing at the highest level ever since their victory at CCS LAN finals in Romania. However, the German team has undergone a roster change and with three new players they are still looking to find their own way to the top so it will be interesting to see how far they can make it against one of the best at this very moment.
The second semi finals pair will see Virtus.pro clashing with the newly formed squad of Team Kinguin. The Polish team have been recording some very satisfying results recently, although they are very well known for always being hungry for more wins, so Team Kinguin who didn't really fulfill the expectations after their creation will have a very hard task here to overcome one of the most experienced teams in the current CS:GO scene.
