NA tournaments review: Keyd Stars and CLG reigning at the top

We are back with the weekly ongoing tournaments review and we will take a closer look at the events featuring the North American teams.

ESL ESEA Pro League - $500,000

The American move paid off for Keyd Stars as the Brazilian team is currently sitting at the top of ESL ESEA Pro League with the 6-1 score. Whenever they had a chance to play at some international event, Fallen and guys were always showing a great performance. However, it felt like they are being pushed back by not having enough competitive matches back at home. This made the team take a huge step by moving to North America in order to participate in ESL ESEA Pro League.

The two teams who are breathing down Keyd's neck are CLG and Nihilum Gaming. Both teams have undergone the roster changes recently and they are still in the phase of adapting to the new roles in the line-ups. However, both of them have 6-2 score and are looking strong compared to the other NA teams, with the exception of Cloud9.

Cloud9 is the only undefeated team at this moment in ESL ESEA Pro League. The freshened roster of the best NA team is working out and from the five played matches they got the same number of wins. Cloud9 is the only team which defended the NA pride by defeating Keyd Stars so far. However, the lack of played games still puts them in the middle of the table as they have yet to catch up with the leading trio.

CEVO Season 7 - $135,000

In the CEVO's season 7 we can see a whole different picture than in ESL ESEA when it comes to North American division. The first thing which gets our attention is that Keyd Stars are not participating at this one, so CLG is currently holding the top of the standings with 5-1-2 score.

The thing which is worth of mention is that there is no undefeated teams in this group and the fight is so fired up for the upper middle of the table. affNity, Luminosity Gaming and Tempo Storm are all sitting with 12 and 11 points. This implies that we will possibly watch some less favored teams at the LAN finals.

However, teams have yet to play a lot of matches and the image of the table can still change. So, stay tuned to our weekly recap in order to see if there was any change in the next week,
