$80,000 in prizes for Gfinity Summer Masters

The stakes have been raised for Gfinity's upcoming Summer Masters with the prize pool increased to $80,000.

Gfinity has continued the improvements to their tournaments with their first ever Summer Masters by nearly tripling the previously-announce $30,000 prize pot to impressive $80,000.

The UK-based organization has also gone ahead and tweaked other aspects of the tournament, most importantnly the format and team count. This time around, Gfinity will reduce the number of teams to eight, as well as tweak the group stage to employ a B03 GSL-style system, while leaving the playoff format identical to previous events.

The prize distribution is as below:
1st Place: $40,000
2nd Place: $20,000
3rd & 4th Place: $5,000
5th to 8th Place: $2,500
