Krishna "kriSSh" Salecha has just been handed a VAC ban while bootcamping in India.
One of the top players currently in the South Asia region, Krishna "kriSSh" Salecha, has just been banned by Valve's automated anti-cheat system while in a bootcamp match.
Salecha, who had played for a number of high profile teams throughout his career, vehemently denies using cheats, claiming that there was a breach of his account from an unknown location moments before the ban, and is now in the process of attempting to contact Valve to resolve the issue.
Salecha's official statement:
UPDATE: NodWin gaming has now issued an official statement on the matter.
Whether it was Krissh himself hacking or someone had actually hacked his account or some other reason is only conjecture at the moment. The only fact we have to work with is that there is a VAC ban on his main account and we have to make a decision based on the facts we have.
NODWIN Gaming are completely opposed to any forms of cheating and unfair play, and unless there is a revoke of the VAC ban, Krishna Salecha will be barred from participating in any event hosted by NODWIN Gaming and our affiliates and partners for the foreseeable future. If the VAC ban is lifted, we will immediately welcome back Krissh with open arms; but until then our decision stands.
However, we felt it unfair to make the entire team suffer for this, and hence have allowed NeckBreak with a substitute Simar ‘Psy’ Sethi. Now, we’re sure some of you might be asking, how we will be sure Krissh isn’t playing from an alternate id. To lay these doubts to rest, we will have one of our Admins physically on site at NeckBreak’s boot camp to ensure such a possibility does not exist.
This is not us doubting the professionalism of NeckBreak, but rather us leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the integrity of our events which you’ve come to expect of us.”
