The group A of FACEIT LAN finals has concluded with the Swedish teams reigning on the top.
Group A of the FACEIT LAN finals consisted of Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Immunity and Team Liquid. The North American and Australian teams came to this event as underdogs and therefore were looking for a chance to upset one of the two Swedish powerhouses.
The second day of LAN finals was opened with the elimination match between Liquid and Immunity where the Americans opened series really well winning on de_inferno, but the Australian team managed to overcome them with 2-1, winning both de_cache and de_mirage. The next teams in line were Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, clashing for the first seed of the group and a place in playoffs. Fnatic took a very convincing win on de_mirage which was followed with a win on de_dust2 for 2-0 and a first place position in the group. The final match of the group was played between NiP and Immunity, where Swedes took the better of Australians for the second seed and a place in the playoffs. The first map was NiP's pick, de_dust2, where Swedes allowed them to take only three rounds. However, even on their own map Immunity couldn't find any space to work with as they got shut down 16-4.
Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas will now move on to the playoffs, while Team Immunity and Liquid will be packing home with a new experience from this international event. The second day of FACEIT LAN finals isn't over yet, as next in line are the group B matches.
