Hiko joins Nihilum, replaces Professor_Chaos

"I strongly believe this team has the motivation to win," Hiko said on Twitch, following his confirmation that he will join his former Cloud9 teammate Semphis on Nihilum.

After leaving his longtime partners in Cloud9 earlier this year, Hiko persued making a dream team of Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Team Liquid players only for that plan to fall apart this week. Stating previously that he now wants to join a team with a hunger to win, regardless of history and experience, Spencer "Hiko" Martin now states that team is Nihilum. Hiko went on to state he considered CLG but that it wasn't the right move for him.

"There are three up-and-coming players who really have the desire to win," Hiko said, referering to Nihilum's remaining core of Valens, Sancz, and autimatic. "They really impressed me at ESEA. They really seem to have their heads on."

Hiko confirmed that AWPer, and possibly only player in NA to have a higher senstivity than Hiko, Professor_Chaos will step down from the team. Valens will remain Nihilum's in-game-leader, leaving Hiko to possibly fill the lurk role he did previously for Cloud9

Back together with his former teammate Kory "Semphis" Friesen, who recently joined Nihilum after being cut from Cloud9, Hiko said he believes they can achieve a lot together.

"Semphis and myself proved in the past that we can work well togehter, He's a changed guy now that he's no longer working for C9," Hiko said. "He and I will be that duo again."
