Luminosity add ptr, arya out

Just days after Luminosity's first big change in the line-up, they decide to add Peter "ptr" Gurney whose just been cut from Counter Logic Gaming.

After a change that came just a few days ago and saw Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi join the team replacing Carey "frozt" Kertenian, the North American side decided for yet another change. Peter "ptr" Gurney, who has been cut from the Counter Logic Gaming side just a few hours ago, has been already picked up by the Luminosity Gaming side. The change is mostly the outcome of the teams' IGL Arya "arya" Hekmat not being able to fully commit to the team due to having a newborn baby. It will be interesting to see how "ptr" fits in and what role he is going to take on.

Shortly after the change came through the Luminosity organistaion has released a following statement:

Today we announce that our good friend and amazing teammate Arya, has decided to step down from active play indefinitely. Arya has gracefully been juggling full time work, and a new born baby on top of being Luminosity's in-game leader. The team's practice schedule and competitive leagues' new schedules will be very difficult if not impossible for Arya to adhere to with a full plate. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Arya for his services. He has been nothing but professional and a wonderful teammate. He will be missed. We wish him and his new family all the best.

With that, we would like to welcome Peter “ptr” Gurney to the Luminosity Gaming family. Peter will assume the role of primary AWP, while Erik “fl0m” Flom will become a full time rifle. Erik is no stranger to rifling and actually earned his way into the Invite division as a primary rifle during seasons 13, 15, 16 with teams such as XTS and Monomaniac Esports.”
