The lower bracket finals brought us a clash of Swedish titans, Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas. The both teams didn't really have a great performance so far at CCS LAN finals and they were looking to change that in this match.

The maps draft went totally unexpected. In the first ban phase we could see NiP removing de_overpass and Fnatic banning de_nuke. However, the pick phase was totally unorthodox for the NiP side. as Xizt and co. decided to go for de_mirage, which left Fnatic smiling as they were able to pick another favourite map, de_cobblestone. The second banning phase saw the removal of de_inferno by NiP and de_dust2 by Fnatic which left de_cache is the third map.

Although de_mirage was a NiP's pick, Fnatic really enjoyed it. Pronax and his teammates are well known for a very strong T side on this map which they proved once again. NiP was pushed back down on the knees as Fnatic claimed 10 of the first 15 rounds. Going into the second half everyone was expecting something more from NiP as they surely had a reason for picking this map in the first place. However, Fnatic built a strong wall which GeT_RiGhT and co. couldn't breach and the first map went into Fnatic's favor with 16-6.

The next map of this best-of-three series was de_cobblestone which was Fnatic's pick. They quickly took initiative and we could see a round after round going under Fnatic's name on the scoreboard. For someone who was observing this game it would probably look too easy, however it was all well executed on their CT side and NiP was just looking clueless. Finally, the 8th round brought a change on the scoreboard as we could see NiP scoring their first round. However, this didn't shake Fnatic's confidence as they continued maintaining their momentum and in the end we could see a 14-1 half time score. The second pistol round saw a totally different NiP. They started working on a big comeback, but with the first full buy Fnatic denied them and it was 15-4. The next round saw a force buy for NiP where in the end it all felt down on 1v1 between GeT_RiGhT and olofmeister. GeT_RiGhT came out on the top of this duel but it was already too late for him to defuse the bomb and Fnatic took 16-4 victory.

The grand finals of CCS Kick-off season are scheduled for tomorrow and they will start at 17.00 CET. This match will feature a best-of-five series where Team Solomid will have an advantage of 1-0 due to coming from the upper bracket.
