North American CS:GO team Nihilum have upset their legendary Cloud9 counterparts in round 1 of the lower bracket, eliminating them from the entire ESEA tournament.

In a shocking dominant underdog victory, Nihilum have defeated Cloud9 2-0 in order to knock them out of the entire tournament with a last place finish. The team that was seen by many to be the strongest international level competitor in North America crumbled today after they lost to the former Denial eSports lineup, losing de_inferno embarassingly 16-5.
Map 2 was de_cache, widely regarded to be one of Cloud9's best maps. While the North American giants tried to create some sort of window of opportunity to bring the match to a third map, all was for nothing as Nihilum pushed themselves to their limits in order to win the map 16-13 and the match 2-0, eliminating Cloud9 from the tournament.
Nihilum will now face Fnatic in round 2 of the lower bracket, an even more difficult task compared to their previous one.
