Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated Team Solomid 2-0 to secure themselves a spot in the grand finals of SLTV StarSeries XII.

The lower bracket finals brought us a rematch from the quarter finals of ESL One Katowice between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Solomid. The Swedish team was heavily knocked down by Team EnVyUs in their match last night where nV secured a spot in the grand finals. On the other hand the Danish players had a very long day winning over Virtus.pro and Titan with the similar score, 2-1 and getting themselves into the lower bracket finals. As expected NiP decided to pick de_dust2, while TSM felt that they will have the best odds going with de_nuke. The last remaining map was de_cache which will be used as a decider if it's needed.
NiP kicked off pretty well on de_dust2 taking the first pistol round at CT side and getting an early lead of 1-0. However, the Danish players led by karrigan just snowballed through the A bomb site using the tec9 train and claimed the next round which completely destroys NiP's money count and TSM took the control of the map into their hands. Quickly after TSM had reached 4-1, NiP had to fight back in order to keep the pace. GeT_RiGhT and allu made some crucial shots which brought NiP back into this half and the Swedes start climbing up on the table by winning round after round. In the end it was 10-5 for NiP and TSM had to prepare their defense for the CT side. Pistol round was extremely well executed by TSM as they had a player flanking from behind on A long and boxing in NiP, who were doing a full A long rush. But, it looks as if both teams don't mind much going into force buy with tec9s as NiP repeated what TSM did in the first half. The Swedes overcame the Danes on the A bombsite and claimed the round, and that was the end for TSM on this map as NiP won all the remaining rounds for this map for 16-6.
The second map of this series was TSM's pick, de_nuke. NiP started by taking the first three rounds on the T side after which we could see a 'blue' CT show on the scoreboard. The Danish team did set up a big stronghold which brought them 12 consecutive rounds for 12-3 on their CT-side. TSM played a great defense, although NiP could still find entry frags, where they were mainly pushing down to B site and taking it. Probably, the most important round of the first half was where NiP had bomb planted on B site in 2v2 situation and cajunb had already left to T spawn to save a gun and GeT_RiGhT went on chasing him, while karrigan killed the second NiP player who was standing in the toxic room after, followed by a ninja defuse. The second half was totally dominated by NiP. The Swedes didn't allow the Danish players to work with anything. They were completely shut down and we could see them taking only one round in total on the second half which wasn't enough to push this match into the third map. NiP won de_nuke 16-13 and will now meet Team EnVyUs in the grand finals.
