In one of the best series we could see so far at SLTV StarSeries XII LAN finals, Team Solomid clutched a 2-1 win over Virtus.pro and knocked them out of the tournament.

The second elimination match of the lower bracket saw Virtus.pro taking on Team Solomid. The Polish squad suffered a heavy loss yesterday where they got shut down by NiP 2-0. On the other hand, the Danish team lost to Natus Vincere in a very thrilling series 2-1. So both teams were looking for a chance to stay a bit longer in this tournament. The map veto process didn't bring us anything unexpected as we could see VP running away with a de_cache pick and TSM going for de_inferno. The last pick fell to de_overpass which was chosen to be the decider in case it's needed.
On de_cache we saw TSM running away with the pistol round which brought them two more easy rounds to follow for 3-0. From that moment on, Virtus.pro took this half into their control and denied all attempts made by Danes. However, TSM managed to sell VP a few very good fakes and to finish this half with 5 rounds on the record. The second half saw TSM being totally unbeatable on the CT side as they were taking a round after round to finally close this map 16-12.
On de_inferno we saw two very well played CT halves. In the first one TSM lost the first three initial rounds to VP and then won 11 rounds before they switched over to T side. However, VP was even more dominant on CT side as they took it 12-1 for the final score of 16-12. We could see the Polish team preventing any upsets with their great usage of nades, especially the fire bombs which helped them a lot of times. TaZ even managed to pick up a triple kill at one point with the fire bomb against the full buy of TSM.
The third and deciding map was played on de_overpass where VP had to start on less favored T side. However, they managed to pick up the pistol round and to make a good start. But, dupreeh prevented them from extending it to any longer streak as he picked up 3 headshots with the pistol which in the end turned out to be a TSM's round. From this point on, TSM had a full control of this map. The half time score was 12-3 and it was obvious that VP didn't really practice this map much as they couldn't execute any specific strategies over at T side. The second pistol round was won by TSM and it was all looking like an easy win for the Danish team, but VP showed once again what they are capable of. The Polish team made it to 15-13 and TSM was pushed down to a force buy. After the 60 seconds into this round TaZ got booted out from the game which left VP with 4 alive players and TSM with 5. TSM managed to clutch this round but the admins decided to replay it. After a big longer pause VP won another 2 rounds for 15-15 and they were going into overtime full of confidence. The OT brought us a whole new TSM who were agressive and much more concrete on what they wanted to do at T side. This resulted into 2 won rounds by them and 1 hardly clutched by VP. The first round of second half of OT was won by VP as they did pick 2 quick kills and where up in 5v3 situation. However, TSM was holding A site pretty solid but in the end it all felt down on 1v1 where pasha came out on the top of this situation scoring the round for his team. The Danish team didn't mind it much as they were looking so strong in the next round which again came down to 1v1 clutch which this time went into Danish favour and that was the moment where VP was shut down. TSM won de_overpass with 19-17 and they will be moving on to the next match of losers bracket against Titan, while VP is eliminated from the tournament.
