Final version of de_tuscan released for CS:GO

After developing the map since the launch of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Colin "Brute" Volrath has finally seen his hard work pay off, as de_tuscan was released to the community earlier today.

Many players and fans will remember de_tuscan from earlier versions of Counter-Strike, namely 1.6 and Source. The map was fairly popular, especially in CEVO where it was initially introduced. The inspiration behind the original de_tuscan was the old de_cpl_mill, as the two maps share quite a few characteristics.

Brute has been working on porting de_tuscan to CS:GO for two and a half years. Last September, he released a beta version for public testing. Thanks to feedback from the community, Brute has been able to tweak and modernize the map to its final state.

De_tuscan is set in the North Africa/Southern Spain region, according to its creator. It will be interesting to see how tuscan fares as a potential map in the competitive pool. With maps such as de_cobblestone and the new de_train already under fire, there is certainly a strong possibility we will see de_tuscan given a chance in the near future.
