Fifflaren AMA: allu is a great pickup for NiP

NiP legend Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson has answered some of the most popular questions for him from the Reddit community in his first Ask Me Anything since his departure from Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Since his surprising retirement from professional Counter-Strike, Robin "fifflaren" Johansson has continued to be active personality in the community, providing in-depth analysis at tournaments and on social media. Today on Reddit, Johansson conducted an AMA in which he answered questions from the CS:GO community.

One of the most popular questions for the former player was his reasons behind his seemingly abrupt departure from the NiP roster following ESWC:

As most of you already figured out, I am moving to New York. I started the visa process last year in April and I was in the final stages of the whole process around the ESWC tournament. I had already planned that I would retire AFTER DHW, that was my plan all along. But after a lot of bad results, and knowing that I would leave within 3 weeks anyway, I think it was more than fair to let them bring in a new player and try to succeed in the Major. Which they did!! I love my former team-mates and the last thing I would have ever wanted was for them to dislike me for not taking this step. After all, they play as a living and the more they win, the better they are off financially. So, my retirement was planned way before the actual event took place

Fifflaren's opinions on the Ninjas in Pyjama's recent acquisition of allu from 3DMAX were also highly requested:

I think that allu is a great pickup for NiP. I am looking forward to Katowice to see how the team plays, but allu is by far one of the most complete players in the European scene at the moment and I am sure he will do an amazing job in NiP!

Allu is probably the one that would fit NiP the most considering how many tournaments they have coming up. I think another person that would be a good fit would be twist.

Finally, Johansson gave his opinions on the the cheating scandals that have being plaguing the competitive scene recently, particularly flusha's witch hunt:

When this whole flusha witch hunt started and someone put a gun to my head and asked me I would have said that he cheated. Now that things have cooled down a bit on the witch hunt, and paying more attention to it my opinion have changed, I do NOT think he cheats.[...] Playing at a top level, you NEVER expect anyone from the top tier teams to cheat. They don't even have to cheat, they have the skill to compete vs the best anyways. People just make really stupid mistakes that will end your career. Witchhunt on flusha was a bit extreme.. No one should ever have to experience that kind of ridicule.

I think that CS:GO will keep growing, we had a set back with the scandals, but we are going in the right direction.
