Valve releases further statistics about map balance

While bringing map changes in the most recent patch Valve allows to gain deeper comprehension of the balancing proccess.

In their latest blog post the developers shared some insights about the balance design mechanisms. As they underlined that in 2014 there was a further development and serious changes of de_cobblestone and de_overpass, the two most recent additions to the active competitive additions to the CS:GO. Valve claim that it is extremely important to use data and stats as a useful hint in making design changes that would seriously change gameplay on a map.

Along with a general information about overall win rates of T/CT sides Valve presented a more thorough breakdown which says how each round was one: whether a bomb was planted or not, and whether it was defused or not. The data is compiled from a wide range of skill groups and for those interested in an effect of rankings on maps win rates there is an .csv file attached in the blog.
