GameShow announces the second season of their CS:GO League

GameShow has just announced the second edition of their CS:GO League which will feature an increased number of the teams.

The first season of GameShow League was held during the second part of 2014, where the ten teams battled out for their cut of 30,000 USD. In the end, Natus Vincere came out on top of the LAN tournament held in Moscow, Russia.

The organizers have prepared more excitment for the second season, as they have decided to increase the number of teams from ten to sixteen. Those teams will be placed into the four groups, where they will have to fight through the round robin that features a home/away system. All the teams will play best-of-one matches and only the top two teams of each group will qualify for the playoffs.

The playoffs will see a double elimination bracket of eight teams, where the matches will be played in a best-of-three format, with the grand finals having an exception. The Grand Final match will feature a best-of-five series with a 1 map advantage for the team coming from the upper bracket.

It's still not determined wether this season will feature a LAN finals or not, but it's certain that we will still be able to witness some great matches. The prize pool will remain the same as in the last season. However, the organizers have announced that the next three seasons of this league will feature a 50,000 USD prize pool for each.

The sixteen participants will be decided through the invite and qualification process. The twelve teams will receive a direct invite, while the last four will have to battle out through the qualifiers for the remaining slots.

The Season 2 of GameShow League will start on February 16th and GosuGamers will keep you updated with the all information regarding this event, so stay tuned.
