As expected, the Danish team, Dignitas, went for a 'safe' pick of de_dust2, which is statistically one of their best maps. On the other side, Team LDLC chose their strongest map, de_inferno. De_cache was randomly chosen to be the deciding map if needed.

With de_dust2 being Dignitas' pick, Team LDLC was given the choice of starting side and they decided to begin as CT. The French team won the pistol round and just kept on scoring round win after round win to make it 8-0 at one point. Dignitas was looking completely clueless, being unable to break LDLC's defense. The first half score was 13-2 in favour of LDLC. In the second half, we finally saw the strength of the Danish CT side, something which they are known for. They won seven consecutive rounds until LDLC eventually got themselves together and finished off the map with a final score of 16-10.

The second map, de_inferno saw Dignitas starting on the more favored CT side of the map. LDLC started off strong on this map, keeping it close with a series of back and forth round exchanges ending the first half 7-8 in favor of Dignitas. The French team then managed to win the second pistol round on their CT side, making the score 8-8. Another series of round exchanges then occurred, and with the help of some B rushes on Dignitas' side the Danish team was able to make it close, winning this map 16-14.

The Deciding map was de_cache where Dignitas was supposed to have an advantage with starting at CT side. However, Team LDLC performed one of the best T halves on this map, proving that cache can be dominated on the T side as well. The French team was very good at rotating after the initial picks which brought them a lot of rounds on the record at the end of the first half, 11-4. The second half just resumed with what we could see in the first one, LDLC just played their own game and Dignitas couldn't find any space for themselves. In the end it was 16-5 for the French team and they scheduled a rematch of DreamHack Winter finals with Ninjas in Pyjamas.

In the winner's interview Happy admitted that it was a bit of shock that they lost on de_inferno, however their mentality was strong and they just continued without much issues on de_cache which they won very convicingly.

Schedule for Day 3:
18.00 CET - Fnatic vs Team Dignitas - Third place decider
20.30 CET - Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Team LDLC - Grand final match
