The second day of MLG X Games couldn't be more interesting. Every match will be the eliminating one. Since all the teams are sitting at 1-1 score, today's matches will be the deciding one. Who wins goes through and who losses goes home.
First on the list was the match between Fnatic and Counter Logic Gaming. Fnatic who beat Team Liquid and lost to Team LDLC yesterday were looking to secure their place in the semi final.
Surprisingly, the North American team didn't remove de_mirage from the pool, giving fnatic a great map to play on. Fnatic had the slight advantage kicking off at the more favored CT side. The first half was won convincingly 12-3 by the Swedes and it was already looking like a one sided match. However, CLG clutched the pistol round of the second half which brought them a some hope. Unfortunately, everything fell apart when Fnatic managed to win an eco round where they just snowballed through the B site, killing everyone, and walking away with two M4A1-s' and one AWP.
In game leader of Fnatic, pronax, has mentioned that he wasn't really surprised that CLG didn't remove de_mirage from the pool, however he is a really happy to see North American teams starting to pick up this map since they were mostly avoiding it until now. He also said that it favors them more since they are a really good at this map. On the other hand he also said that he is looking forward to meet Team LDLC once again at this tournament and one of the interviewers questioned if they are going to replay once de_inferno again, he just replied: "We will see.".
