Virtus.pro claims A-Split Invitational title

After a three day long event in Krefeld, Acer A-Split Invitational has came to an end with Virtus.pro reigning at the top.

The event featured eight teams split into two groups with four team in each. Virtus.pro and Reason Gaming topped their groups with mousesports and Penta Sports as runner-ups.

The playoffs were played in a double elimination format, where VP and Reason continued their dominancy by knocking down mouz and Penta to lower bracket with the similiar score of 2-0. In the lower bracket, mousesports lost to Penta and was the first eliminated team from the playoffs. The Polish team, VP won 2-0 over Reason to secure their spot in the grand finals, where Reason had to clutch their ticket for the finals in the lower bracket finals against Penta. The match was a very close one, however the Danish team came up the top and scheduled another duel with Virtus.pro.

In the finals Virtus.pro had a map advantage due to coming from the upper bracket and the Poles have just routinely closed this tournament after two maps, winning both de_cobblestone and de_nuke without much trouble.

Prize distribution:
1. Poland Virtus.pro - $5,000
2. Denmark Reason Gaming = $3,000
3. Germany Penta Sports - $1,250
4. Germany Mousesports - $750
