Game Show League Season 1 is set to begin today with the first matches of Group A. Virtus.pro and Nostalgie are playing the opening match which is scheduled for 18.00 CEST.
The first season of Game Show League is about to commence, with ten squads fighting for the total prizepool of $30,000 ($8000 of which will be used to cover travel expenses.
The format will see two groups of five teams in each fighting for the top two places. The teams will be playing each other once in best-of-one matches. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the LAN finals which will be held at the Crocus Expo in Moscow from October 2nd through 5th. The playoffs will feature a four-team double elimination bracket with every match being best-of-three.
The opening day of Game Show League will see five Group A matches, with Virtus.pro and Nostalgie starting the action at 18.00 CEST. A total of five matches will be played today, all best-of-one.

Prize pool distribution:
1 place — $12 000 + 2,000 travel support
2 place — $5 000 + 2,000 travel support
3 place — $3 000 + 2,000 travel support
4 place — $2 000 + 2,000 travel support
