The winners of the regular season of SLTV StarSeries Season X, Mousesports, decided to not attend the LAN Finals in Kiev at the end of this month. Virtus.pro is most likely to replace them, but it's still unconfirmed.
Mousesports has officially stated that they will not attend the SLTV StarSeries X finals in Kiev, which are to be held at August 30-31. The reason being the current political situation in the Ukraine and the decision was made by players and their families.
Mousesports ended the round robin play at the first place with the thirteen wins and two loses, besting top teams such as Fnatic, HellRaisers and Natus Vincere. Furthermore, the organization said that the team wants to focus on ESL Pro Series Summer 2014 and the ESEA Invite Season 17 EU Play for now.
The SLTV StarSeries LAN finals were supposed to have Mousesports against Natus Vincere in the first round of Playoffs, and Fnatic taking on HellRaisers. The matches are set to be double elimination best-of-three series. Therefore dropping one series still allows for the possibility of a losers bracket comeback.
Virtus.pro will most likely replace the German team at the main event, as they've finished 5th at the league play. Stay tuned to GosuGamers for the more information about SLTV StarSeries X.
