ESL One Cologne - the groups have been drawn

The groups for ESL One Cologne CS:GO Championship have been drawn. A total of sixteen of the strongest teams in the world will be fighting over the $250.000. The teams have been divided in four groups of four.

Following their great success earlier this year at Katowice, ESL have decided to host yet another tournament where the best teams across the globe will compete for a $250,000 prize pool. Now, with only two weeks remaining until the event, the organizers have announced the groups for the initial groupstage, where a total of sixteen teams will be fighting for their spot in the playoffs.

The group stages will be played in best-of-one GSL format, where the top two teams of each group will qualify for the playoffs.

Schedule:

Thursday 14 August - Starting 9:00 CEST
- Group A to D - First round matches and losers match
Friday 15 August - Starting 9:30 CEST
- Group A to D - Winners and losers matches
Saturday 16 August - Starting 9:00 CEST
- Quarterfinals
Sunday 17 August - Starting 9:00 CEST
- Semi-Finals and Grand Finals

3-4. $22,000
5-8. $10,000
9-16. $2,000
