Team Captain Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov unveils lineup for the Electronic Sports European Championship tournament for 2014.

With a star filled lineup including Denis “seized” Kostin, Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov, and Georgiy “WorldEdit” Yaskin, as well as the 17 year old prodigy Egor “flamie” Vasilyev, Russia looks to be shaping up well to contend in this year’s European championship. This is Bogdanov’s second year in a row managing the Russian team. Unlike last year all 10 player slots are filled up, as only 8 players were used in ESEC 2013. Accompanying the seasoned captain is the majority of Team USSR as well as fellow Nostalgie teammates Alan “Fly” Temirov and Alexander “spiker” Ivanov.

Organized by E-Frag and Sensei Gaming, this year’s ESEC features over 35 countries to vie for the title of Europe’s top Counter-Strike nation. With rosters due by today, July 31st, there should be lots of excitement with the new roster announcements. Russia is the latest to announce their roster, with so much talent coming from other countries, Bogdanov and his squad will definitely have to play well in order to improve on last year’s performance.
