Fenix becomes the third player to head over to Korea as a part of the MLG/GSL league exchange program. He will not only play in the GSL August, but also in the GSL team league alongside WeMade Fox, Naniwa and Thorzain.
Jian Carlo "Fenix" Morayra Alejo's success in MLG Columbus earned him a place in the next season's GOMTV Global StarCraft 2 League.
With Slush, ret, HayprO, and IdrA allegedly turning down the invitations locked to the top three non-Korean finishers at the Columbus event, Fenix was the next player in line.
Take note that Shawn "Sheth" Simon, currently competing in the GSL July Code A tournament, has nothing to do with the MLG/GSL league exchange program. MLG director Lee Chen confirmed this on Twitter. He received an invitation most likely due to being down in Korea to participate in GSTL for team FXOpen.
