Massive WCG Update

[s]event_223[/s]
The USSR has always been the dominant force in the world of sports. Olympic and World Championships and Records, if USSR wasn't first heads were rolling. However after the fall of this great country, Russian sports has been on a decline, with former athletes choosing rather shady career path, instead of continuing in the competitive world.

With the new era of sports, new heroes have arisen on the Soviet soil. Lexer, Asmodey, M19 in the past, Deadman, Cypher and the mighty Androide are here once again to prove that the might of what was once the unbeatable empire is still hovering over the whole world like a thunderstorm cloud.

WCG Russia

And this WCG is of undeniable importance to all us StarCraft enthusiasts. This year Russian preliminaries will show whether one of the most talented SC:BW players to ever step in this world, and the best foreigner, version WCG 2005, will continue his career, or follow the footsteps of earlier Soviet athletes and join the rumored "family business."

This we will find out in a little over half a month, when on August 17th-18th Androide will(or will not) crash mice with his hungry for some pizza adversaries.
Who will they be? Here's a comprehensive list:

A couple of unexpected events has happened during the St.Petersburg preliminaries. Ro[S2] broke his leg and failed to attend, while Pomi[S2], who finished 6th in last year's WCG, has proven that his weak ASUS performance wasn't a fluke, after falling victim to Izixhidi[a2] and --v.Profy and finishing out of qualifying spots.

So far we have 7 Terrans, 7 Zergs, and 4 Tosses, and 3 people who's race I was not able to identify.

The teams who are sending more then one player to the Russian Finals are:
Shock Squadron tied with with fAke peoOple at 4 representatives each.
Danger Destruction Death is second with 3.
RoX, Bruce's baby, is wrapping up the list with 2.

WCG Belarus

WCG Belarus consists of 3 stages. During the first stage 5 regional preliminaries have been held, in which 13 people from Gomel, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Brest and Grodno, have received a spot in the second stage of event, which was to be held in the capital city, Minsk. All in all 35 people have clashed for a chance to advance to the third, final stage. Here are the three lucky ones who managed to path this bloodbath:

1st Jackal
2nd 4p)Lasker

In the 3rd and last stage they will be joined by MgZ)LoWeLy, the famous PJ killer, who have managed to finish top 16 in last year's WCG.

All this action was recorded with the help of the PGT Launcher therefore you can enjoy the bloodshed in the first person view here:
