Just a couple of days before the event, the World Series of Video Games have announced their 32 players taking part in the WSVG stop at DreamHack Summer 2006. The MeetYourMakers Koreans will be present, plus many more top notch gamers.
World Series of Video Games is yet another big offline event, which will be hosted in United States later this year. Just as the Cyberathlete Professional League, CPL for short, has their stops around the world, so has WSVG. They have now come to Sweden to host their tours for Counter-Strike, Quake 4 and WarCraft 3. The WSVG Sweden stop will be held at DreamHack Summer 2006, and the prize pool lies on $5,000 USD for the first prize, $2,500 USD for the second prize and the third prize is $1,500 USD. If that was not enough, the #1 and #2 will also be qualified for the Grand Final including paid expenses for travel and hotel.
Below are the 32 players that has been chosen out of the registrations the WSVG have received. In the comments at SK-Gaming.com, mouz.SaSe explains that Lucifer and Moon are not going due to World Cyber Games qualifiers in Korea. And the three Serbian and Montenegro players are also said not to come due to visa problems.
